RARE UNUSUAL Antique Vintage Art Deco Carved Bakelite Plaque Cherry Amber Bakelite Swirl Beads & Wood Beads Long Flapper Necklace. Circa 1920's a Very Unusual and Totally Unique Piece! A really unusual antique Art Deco long flapper necklace, made up of a carved bakelite plaque, two cherry amber bakelite swirl beads and wooden beads.

The bakelite has been tested with simichrome and gave a very positive result - turning bright pink. I have had this result before with bakelite on a cream coloured piece, so it is not the colour coming off the object, but a reaction.

There is a split in one of the wooden beads and a little surface wear on the reverse of the plaque, but nothing which detracts from its immense charm. Necklace measures approximately: 52" or 132cm Plaque measures : 2.75 x 1.75" or 7cm x 4.5cm In Very Good Antique Condition. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
