A fabulous and extremely rare antique Edwardian/early Art Deco, huge cherry amber bakelite bead long flapper necklace. This stunning cherry amber bakelite bead is complemented with two contrasting yellow beads and a long luxurious silk tassel. It is threaded onto the original long length of woven black silk.It has been tested with Simichrome polish and gives a very positive result (please see last photo). A simply beautiful, yet understated piece. I could just see Lucile (Lady Duff-Gordon) the model in the phtograph, taken in 1917, wearing this necklace! Looks Amazing Whenever It Catches The Light! Necklace measures approximately: 40.5" or 103cm The bead drop and tassel measure a further: 6.25" or 16cm The large cherry amber bakelite bead measures a whopping: 36.2mm x 27mm!!
