EXCEPTIONAL VINTAGE RICH CARNELIAN CHERRY AMBER FATURAN BAKELITE BEADS. A stunning strand of authentic carnelian cherry amber bakelite beads - exceptionally desirable for use as prayer beads!! Presenting an exquisite strand of Carnelian Cherry Amber Bakelite oval shaped beads. These stunning beads have all the qualities that are highly prized in bakelite bead necklaces. Each bead has a magnificently rich and radiant glowing colour and a brilliant translucency. The bakelite exhibits exquisite tones which range between carnelian and cherry amber in colour. These impressive beads have a magnificently intense rich colour, exquisite internal marbling and a brilliant transparent translucency. The intensely rich and radiant colour of these beads along with the extensive marbling make these amongst the very finest we have seen.

A slight variance in colour magnificently simulates the variations of natural amber. These exceptional beads are of a lovely large size and have a most striking resonance of colour with the light passing through. This spectacularly illuminates the magnificent marbling of the bakelite. It is easy to see why these highly desirable beads are so sought after.

They are breathtaking to hold and an absolute joy to wear. These exquisite beads test positive to bakelite.

This stunning strand contains a total of 41 beads and weighs 66 grams. SIZE: This strand measures approx 59cms in length. The beads graduate smoothly in size with the largest central bead measuring approx 23.5mms in length x 18.7mms in diameter.

The next two beads flanking the central bead measure approx 21mms in length x 16.8mms in width, followed by two measuring 19.5mms x 15.5mms. CONDITION: These magnificent beads are presented in excellent vintage condition with no breaks or cracks. The bakelite retains a magnificent rich vibrancy, lustre and sheen and are an absolute delight to the touch. These stunning beads have been very well cared for and present spectacularly.

These stunning beads have been loosely strung onto a length of newer white cotton which has been tied to affix the strand. The stringing remains very strong and presents well and is of a length that would slip over most heads without the need for a clasp. Ideally, however, these beads would benefit from a more professional restringing or could be made into exceptionally attractive prayer beads. While we have attempted to capture the true essence and beauty of this magnificent strand, one can only fully experience the true splendour, amazing intensity and richness of colour of these exquisite beads in real life!!
