Fab Vintage Modernist Cherry Amber Sterling Silver Ring, Size 8.25

  
The organic bean shaped red amber is framed by a smooth silver bezel and then stationed atop a saddle shaped concave platform that is oxidized to give it depth. The ring measures approximately a Size 8.25 on my mandrel, but because of its 1/2 wide band, may fit smaller. The band is also deliberately split to be slightly adjustable as many mid-century and Baltic, Russian or other European rings are.

The hallmark is also an older style used by Baltic countries in particular. The amber focal point measures 1 tall and 10/16 wide.

The ring weighs 12 grams. Condition: The amber retains surface scratches, scuffs and slight nicks that accompany authentic amber that is 50 years old or more. The silver band is in good round, and has the appropriate surface scratches, tarnish, nicks, that show the age. There is no damage and the cherry amber is secure in its bezel.

All measurements are approximate and done to the best of my ability. Ring size is measured on a standard mandrel. Weights are provided in grams and measured on a postal scale that is calibrated. What condition are these pieces in: These items are all vintage, antique (older than 50 years), or from a secondary contemporary marketplace. As such, there will be scuffs, scratches on stones and metal, visible use, sometimes slightly bent ring bands or clasps or rings that need attention.

I will do my best to photograph these or point out any issues. I leave the patina on pieces, especially with oxidation.

If you would prefer something to be shinier and polished before it is mailed, please contact me and I will use an industry recommended product to hand polish, although it may leave a slight odor that can easily be removed by you with rinsing in water with gentle detergents. I will provide a free jewelry pouch for most items unless the item is too large to fit.
