EXQUISITE VINTAGE CHERRY AMBER BAKELITE PRAYER BEADS. Presenting a magnificent vintage strand of cherry amber bakelite prayer / worry beads consisting of 31 round shaped beads graduating smoothly in size. These stunning beads have all the qualities that are highly prized in cherry amber bakelite prayer beads. The beads have a magnificent richness and vibrancy of colour.

There is a most striking resonance of colour with the light passing through and a beautiful translucency. The richness of colour is amongst the finest we have had the pleasure to offer for sale. It is easy to see why these highly desirable beads are so sought after. They are breathtaking to hold and have a wonderfully pleasing tactile feel to the touch.

These exquisite beads test positive to being made of bakelite. SIZE: The largest central bead measures approx 20mms in diameter, with the next two largest measuring 19.5mms in diameter. The barrel beads measure a total of 370mms in length when laid tightly together. WEIGHT: The beads have a total weight of approx 47 grams. CONDITION: These magnificent beads are presented in excellent vintage condition.

The bakelite retains a vibrancy, lustre and sheen. The beads are securely threaded on a twisted strand of vintage cotton which has slightly frayed and discoloured and would ideally be replaced. The beads loosely spaced on the strand allowing enough space for the beads to be move along the thread in ones hand. These stunning beads have been very well cared for and present spectacularly.
